Eric founded African Frontier Capital in 2010. He has over 25 years of private equity and investment banking experience gained on Wall Street (Barrington Capital), London (Citigroup Investment Banking) and in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has advised and structured billions of dollars of structured finance and cross-border M&A transactions, IPOs, LBOs and real estate transactions. Before founding AFC, Eric was at PME African Infrastructure Opportunities fund, leading the fund's efforts in Energy, Real Estate, ICT, Aviation and Water transactions. Investing in high-impact sub-Saharan African markets since 2007, he has overseen the deployment of over USD 600 million of capital across the region. Eric holds an MBA from London Business School.
He leads AFC's overall strategy, business development, investor relations and investment oversight, including capital mobilisation, risk management, governance and team development.

Karim has more than 15 years of experience in capital markets, specializing in originating, structuring and executing securitization transactions and leading cross-functional teams. He joined AFC in 2018 from Bank and Clients, where he was Managing Director in charge of Credit Underwriting, delivering complex structured credit solutions across equipment loans and leases, trade receivables, credit cards and fleet leases. Previously, Karim headed deal execution, risk management and operations at Ocean Capital Associates. He holds a Master's in Macro Economics and Quantitative Analysis from the University Paris X.
Karim oversees AFC's transaction operations — portfolio acquisitions, reporting, modelling, hedging, payment reconciliation and securitization compliance — and leads receivables portfolio analysis for new opportunities.

With experience in cutting-edge machine learning and traditional credit modelling, Mark joined AFC in 2023 to enhance the data and risk analytics function. Over 10+ years in statistical modelling roles, he has been a Senior Data Scientist at JP Morgan Chase, designing forecasting and reinforcement learning algorithms for their retail bank, and an Associate Director in credit risk research and analytics at Moody's, advising large financial institutions on quantitative credit risk management. Mark holds a Master's in Machine Learning from UCL and a Master's in Financial Mathematics from Leeds University Business School.
He leads AFC's data pipelines, quantitative credit risk models, financial valuation models and machine learning tools. Away from code, Mark enjoys traveling and Thai boxing.

Joseph is a Business Intelligence Analyst at African Frontier Capital and joined the firm in 2022. He has experience across data science, financial analysis, data engineering, machine learning and technology leadership, with a focus on applying analytics to portfolio monitoring, management reporting and investment decision support.
Before African Frontier Capital, Joseph worked at the African Center for Data Science & Analytics, where he served as Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder. He has also worked on machine learning and data analytics initiatives with Omdena, Zindi and InsideSherpa.
Joseph holds a BSc in Actuarial Science from Kisii University and certifications in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Joseph leads AFC’s business intelligence and data automation work across portfolio monitoring, reporting dashboards, GCP data monitoring, Google Sheets automation, cash sweep checks, DESCO data analysis, pricing support and risk metrics. His work supports better visibility into portfolio performance, operational controls and data-driven decision-making across AFC’s investment activities.

Buhle joined AFC in 2022. She began her career at Absa Bank South Africa and has since worked across banking, consulting and non-profit organizations. Before AFC, she worked in Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Global Citizen, a global advocacy organization. Mission-driven and committed to innovative solutions through business, education and policy, her research interest is gender-lens investing in Africa. Buhle holds a BA (Honours) in International Business and Trade from the African Leadership University.
She leads AFC's Impact and E&S work — policy development, lender reporting and DESCO E&S and impact data coordination — and supports due diligence, business development and investor relations.

Jane is a finance legal professional with experience across investments, trusts, public finance, corporate finance and acquisition finance. She provides legal advisory on capital deployment, security structures and documentation for infrastructure and economic development projects. Jane holds law degrees from Afe Babalola University and the University of Cambridge and is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Nigerian Bar, with experience in English common law, multi-jurisdictional legal management, trust portfolios, financing vehicles and capital markets transactions.
She oversees legal matters for AFC, its subsidiaries and client SPVs, manages external counsel, supervises corporate service providers, leads transaction documentation and supports regulatory compliance and governance.

Sonali joined AFC as Financial Controller in 2024 and is based in Mauritius. She brings experience in accounting, administration, regulatory compliance and tax compliance for funds, authorised companies and global business companies, gained at management companies in Mauritius. Sonali holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting with a minor in Finance from the University of Mauritius and is working towards her ACCA qualification.
She manages AFC's financial records, reconciliations, monthly reporting, tax filings, payments, cash flow reviews and audit preparation, and liaises with banks, legal advisers, tax advisers and Mauritian service providers across AFC entities.

Naveen has more than 10 years of experience in credit research, equity research, financial modelling and valuation. His work has included LBO modelling, DCF and comparable-company valuations, distressed-company analysis, market research and transaction support. He is experienced in project management, client communication, deliverable planning, quality review and database-led research using Bloomberg, Thomson Eikon, Capital IQ, Mergermarket and Factiva.
Naveen supports AFC's financial modelling, financial analysis, market research and due diligence for new and existing financing opportunities.

Namita has more than nine years of experience in corporate finance, valuation and financial advisory — business valuations, portfolio valuations, purchase price allocations, solvency analysis, complex financial instruments and equity research. She also has experience in market research, information memorandums, financial models, trading and transaction comparables and company profiles across financial services, healthcare, technology, telecoms, media and e-commerce. Namita holds a Bachelor of Commerce and has cleared CFA Level 2, with sector expertise in healthcare and technology.
She supports AFC's financial modelling, valuation, market research, investment analysis and due diligence.
