Eric De Moudt

CEO

Eric founded African Frontier Capital in 2010. He has 20 years private equity and investment banking experience gained on Wall Street (Barrington Capital), London (Citigroup Investment Banking) and in sub Saharan Africa.

He has advised and structured billions of dollar of structured finance and cross border M&A transactions, IPOs, LBOs and Real Estate transactions. Before founding African Frontier Capital, Eric was at PME African Infrastructure Opportunities fund where he led the fund’s efforts in Energy, Real Estate, ICT, Aviation and Water transactions.

Eric has been investing in high impact sub Saharan African markets since 2007 as a principal and has overseen the deployment of over USD 150 million of capital in numerous sectors throughout sub Saharan Africa. Eric has an MBA from London Business School, UK.

Karim Slimani

Head of Risk

Karim has more than 12 years of experience in the securitisation and structured lending industry. Karim joined African Frontier Capital from Bank and Clients where he was Managing Director in charge of the Credit Underwriting for mid to large corporates in Europe and Canada. Previously, Karim served as responsible of the deal execution, risk management and operations at Ocean Capital Associates; his responsibilities encompassed all the steps of the execution process from the early stage of the origination up to the design of the monitoring post-closing.

Karim has a Master degree in Macro Economics and Quantitative Analysis from University Paris X.

Moad El Fatouhi

Vice President

Moad joined African Frontier Capital in 2021 and was appointed to the position of Vice President Financial Analyst. Moad has more than 10 years of experience in the Financial Industry across different regions (America, Europe, Middle East & Africa). Before African Frontier Capital, Moad worked at JP Morgan as a Vice President covering the Emerging Markets Exotics & Hybrids business. Previously, he worked in various Financial Engineering & Analysis roles at Bloomberg, Societe Generale and BNP Paribas based in London, Paris and New York.

Moad holds a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from TELECOM SudParis Engineering School and a Master's degree in Finance from Dauphine University in Paris. He is also certified Financial Modelling & Valuation Analyst from the Corporate Finance Institute.
